Keeping up with the theme of people beating a path to your virtual door (See Blog 1 Blog 2 Blog 3), we should spend a few minutes about the type of people you'll be inviting over, and one of the ways you can send out that invitation... Facebook.

Facebook is, by all measurements, the most popular social media platform. It’s no longer just for sharing pictures of your vacation or what you ate for breakfast. It’s a powerful marketing tool.

Find an interactive marketing agency in Regina

If you want to tell as many people as possible about 'where you live' online, you may need some help.

Every business evolves to a point where its owners can no longer manage their own marketing efforts. That’s why you’re reading this article, isn’t it? Your own business has become so busy that all your time is focused on the things you love to do, leaving you with little time for other important things, like marketing.

Even if we can document every moment of our life, should we? With the holidays finishing up and the new year starting off, what are you really going to do with all of the photos and videos you took of your family and friends? This is the 'we' generation and we want to share with everyone what we are doing and who we are with. With Instagram, Foursquare, Twitter and Facebook there is an exponential change in how we interact and communicate with our "friends". I feel that we should be able to be attentive and share our experiences with the people that are close to us rather than sharing everything on Facebook or raging to your friends and tweeting your location.

b2ap3_thumbnail_Gregory-Moore.jpgWe here at Look Matters would like to introduce you to our new Account Coordinator, Greg Moore!

Greg brings with him an impressive resume. He can leap tall buildings in a single bound, can recite any
Shakespeare soliloquy at the drop of a hat and has consulted with President Obama about solving the
fiscal cliff. Okay, maybe that isn’t all true, but Greg is a positive, friendly fellow who is certain to fit in
with the fun work culture we have here at Look Matters.

Canada isn't what it used to be. Whether we like to admit it or not, We're becoming more and more like our southern neighbours everyday. What was once ours, now belongs to America. Molson belongs to Coors.  Tim Hortons belongs to Wendy's. Wayne Gretzky's soul has been the exclusive property of Janet Jones for the last 20 years.

On the surface, things may appear grim. It would seem that our national identity is being sucked into the vacuum that is American culture. We all stare at the same screens, buy the same products and experience moments at the same time. But that doesn't mean we are all the same.

I am writing this in response to the plea from the Look Matters staff for me to allow my husband to participate in MOvember. I’d like to start by clearing up the misconception that I am not allowing my husband to participate. On the contrary, I am a huge supporter of philanthropic endeavors, even those that are the expense of the participant looking ridiculous. In fact just this week I allowed the Canadian Cancer Society to send two uniformed police officers to “arrest” me and put me in the back of a cruiser at 8 months pregnant all in the name of Jail’n Bail. I think that MOvember is brilliant form of promotion for prostate cancer awareness to raise funds for this cause. So in spite of their appearance, I think that men participating in MOvember to raise awareness and funds for Prostate cancer should be applauded. I mean even the premier is even jumping on the MO-bandwagon.

My only concern about MOvember is that I think some men lose sight of it’s original intent and just use it as an excuse to skip the razor for a month and go au natural. With this in mind I give my blessing for Zlatan to participate in MOvember with the following challenge as the caveat. Zlatan can grow and keep his MO so long as he raises $100/day for prostate cancer. I also challenge the rest of the Look Matters men to participate in this challenge and really create a significant impact for prostate cancer awareness.

b2ap3_thumbnail_JJToiletPants.jpgGreetings and salutations!  My name is JJ Elliott and this week marks my first full month as an Account Coordinator at Look Matters.  It’s only been a month but I really enjoy the people here and the general vibe of the place.  It’s hard to describe in words, but you can really feel a different energy when you walk into the Look Matters office.  I think a huge part of this is that Andrew and Zlatan have made it a point to hire nice, positive people and are very progressive in creating a vibrant work culture.  I think it’s pretty cool that I've heard my boss singing and playing his guitar on occasion in his office just across the hall.  I think it’s safe to say that you won’t find this at most places of employment.

Ok, that's not true. Honestly, I used it because I only have 140 characters to reach you. It's grabby, but totally false.

Just to clarify, I do not hate it. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Like most people, I'm addicted to it. Facebook and Twitter occupy a good part of my day. Heck, I even check my Hi5 account every now and then. (Turns out, several high school friends sell Viagra online now? Weird, right?)

Sorry, but the content you requested could not be found

Have you ever run across one of those nasty, ugly, error pages? They usually spew useless information at you, and leave the user more confused than informed. The goal of these error pages should be to simply explain what happened, and give the user a few options on how to get back on track. One of the most common errors people come across is the HTTP 404 error page. This page appears when a page the user requested can’t be found on the server. Since these pages are usually boring, ugly text, at Look Matters we decided to create a custom, more friendly 404 error page.

Why is a Professional Portrait Important for Business?

What happens when you arrive at a party or walk into a trendy bar or restaurant? People “check you out” and in the first few seconds they build an opinion. Be it right or wrong it is a common behavior across the world. That says a lot about the power of your first impression.
