Most of us start off our week’s the same way: with a yawn and a stretch. Here at Look Matters we like to combat those contagious yawns with our ‘Social Salon’ (patent pending). If you’re like me, the image that comes to mind is all of us talking about social media and getting our hair ‘did’. In actuality, a salon was also a place back in the 17th and 18th century where distinguished guests would gather and discuss major topics, usually art.

This blog takes me back to the winter of 2011 and a bad experience I had at a local tire shop. I have been purchasing tires from TireRack for several years now and really enjoy their service, variety of options, customer reviews, tire testing data and prices. When I got my new truck, I purchased the winter tires for it at TireRack. While I was purchasing the tires, I looked up a local installer and to my disappointment there were none. So, instead of having TireRack ship the tires to the installer, they had to ship them to me and I had to take them to a shop to install the tires.
Even if we can document every moment of our life, should we? With the holidays finishing up and the new year starting off, what are you really going to do with all of the photos and videos you took of your family and friends? This is the 'we' generation and we want to share with everyone what we are doing and who we are with. With Instagram, Foursquare, Twitter and Facebook there is an exponential change in how we interact and communicate with our "friends". I feel that we should be able to be attentive and share our experiences with the people that are close to us rather than sharing everything on Facebook or raging to your friends and tweeting your location.

For Look Matters, that means Making Good People Successful through advertising, marketing and communication advice. To that end I'd like to offer three predictions that will make the Mayan's jealous when it comes to accuracy.
The predictions are inspired by Fast Company's "Top 15 Ads of the Year". The link to the full list is at the bottom of this post - but bear with me and read on. I know that scrolling to the bottom and clicking the link for the video is an almost irresistible urge. In fact, that is the first prediction.
