September hits, and we’ve all become a little run down. The elm trees on Rae Street begin to turn an amber shade, and the mornings start to become a bit darker. Everyone in the office longs for a little pick me up. Thank goodness for our annual Look Matters Staff retreat - a chance to hit the “reset” button. In some ways, it marks the end of another successful year at Look Matters.

To put it bluntly, you should NEVER stop learning.
Wow, that's pretty heavy for a blog, but it does bring up a good point about how to take the life-long learning experience, and turn it into a benefit for your business.
Before I get too far into this, I want to let you know up front that this blog is indeed designed to pseudo-sell you something. In the light of being open and honest, I wanted to share that. Don't get me wrong, there's going to be plenty of good information in here too, but it will come with some sort of pitch as well. Ok? Good. It's happening again as I write this; Apple is announcing the new iPhone to all sorts of different pandemonium. The crowds have been gathering outside Apple's flagship 5th Ave store in NYC for over a week now in anticipation of the rumoured September 20th launch.
This time around, Apple is launching 2 phones - the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S. Now whatever your take on whether or not the new fingerprint scanner is necessary in a phone - I know there's a lot of you going to be terrified that the NSA could have access to your biological data - or the fact that you can get an iPhone in a new strawberry pink colour/flavour, one thing stays the same; Apple (still) commands an audience.
I don’t know about you, but pick-up lines never worked for me.
Despite their dubious merit, they are pretty pervasive.
My prudish pride prevented me from having "pick-up lines" or “come here often” in my Google search history, but when I surreptitiously searched the App Store there were more than 140 apps available to serve me up a steady stream of zingers like: “Do you have any raisins? How about a date?”.
Rather than debate whether, “If time were beauty, you would be eternity”, is an effective tool to meet Mr. or Ms. Right, let’s pivot to the point of this blog.
